Horseback Riding in Las Vegas

Horseback riding is a popular way to experience the Spring Mountain Range of Las Vegas. Sage Brush Ranch is about a 30 minute drive from Las Vegas hotels.

You can enjoy a morning ride when the air is crisp and cool. Starting off from a quiet and secluded canyon, you’ll ride along a breathtaking trail where abundant desert life resides. Enjoy a breakfast western style over an open campfire. Relax and take in the desert calm while enjoying pancakes, bacon, sausage and beverages. When you resume your ride, you’ll have a chance to see the panoramic city across the valley floor, nestled within the picturesque mountains.

If you prefer an afternoon ride, you might catch a glimpse of big horn sheep along the mountain peaks. Ride through the variety of cactus and yuccas that are native to the area. See majestic Joshua trees that have survived in this desert terrain for decades. Relax to a mouthwatering lunch of hamburgers, chicken, potato salad and all the fixings.

The evening ride is spectacular before sunset, with its dramatic colors of the desert sky and sprawling mountains. As your horse takes you over the mountain ridge crest, you’ll see the glittering lights of the Las Vegas valley. Ride back to the ranch with the stars glistening above, and the cries of the coyotes may be heard in the distance. The light of the campfire and aroma of your steak dinner awaiting will beckon you back.

Earn Generous Freebies with the Players Card at Circus Circus

The Circus Circus Players Club in Las Vegas offers generous casino comps. Casino comps in Las Vegas may be used for free meals at restaurants, room nights, shows at other MGM properties, airport limo transportation and even airfare reimbursement.

Casino comps (or casino comp credits) earned in their own casino comp programs, accumulate differently based on the game type, slot machine type, denomination, average wager and length of play.

You must sign up for the casino players card. Most casinos offer one. It is free. You'll earn casino freebies like cash back, hotel stays, restaurant coupons, gifts, free plays, and more. Don't lose out. You played, now collect your casino freebies.

Not only is their Players Club generous, I personally found the Circus Circus slots to pay nicely. Other players agreed.

Some slot machines in certain casinos do not pay very often nor very much. I was pleased with the exciting slot play action at Circus Circus. Other folks I talked with in Las Vegas, told me that the Bellagio, Stratosphere and Treasure Island are not good places for slot play win action. The Hard Rock Casino is not too hot either. Just passing that tidbit on.

The Circus Circus Players Club desk is located in the Main Casino next to the Las Vegas Blvd. entrance indoors. You will need your driver’s license or identification to sign up. The desk attendants are very polite and helpful in every way. They will take your information (name, address, phone, etc.). They do not ask for your social security number.

If you have a partner / spouse and are living at the same address, you may sign up under one Players Club account. In this way, each of you will be assigned your own card, and will earn credits under your own name but in a joint account. Still, each person earns their own comps based on their own point levels achieved. Point levels are based on the amount of play or gambling action sessions.

Having a joint account will avoid receiving extra same mailings to your home address.
If you don’t want your spouse to find out your amount of gambling action, you might want to avoid the joint account strategy. Sign up under your own account.

You’ll get your Players Card and a springy cord with a belt clip attached. I recommend you use the cord. Clip it to your belt loop and slide your card in your pocket when you’re not using it. This will avoid you accidentally leaving it in the machine or losing it.

If you do happen to lose your Players Card, don’t despair. No one can steal your points. Just go back to the Players Club desk and they will issue you a new card. Your points reside in their electronic system and your own account.

You can earn casino comps for table play as well. A $10 minimum average bet is required before your play will be tracked. Present your card to the dealer when you first join your favorite table.

The slot machines have no bet minimum to earn credits. You simply slide your credit card size Players Club Card into the card slot on the front of the machine. Make sure the card slot reader displays “card accepted”. You don't want to miss out on any casino freebies.

Casino comps may be spent within 12 months. Your points stay active a bit longer at 18 months. They offer a new member bonus for signing up. You will receive your first 200 points for $5 cash back or $10 free slot play and also one free room night for your next trip. Comp dollars earned are yours to use now or save for a later trip back.

Free room nights do not come out of your casino comp balance. Every calendar year that you earn 5,000 points, you receive an extra $50 in free slot play.

Card members get 10% off in Circus Circus retail outlets for card members.

One problem I did experience frequently is that you may have to insert and reinsert your players card in the slot before it displays “card accepted”. Your points are only registered once your players card is accepted. Make sure your players card is accepted, so you don't miss out of any casino freebies.

If the machine won't accept your players card, the card reader might be malfunctioning. So, you might consider going to a machine that does accept your players card.

You must insert your players card in each new machine session. If you are anything like me, I move around the casino floor to many many slot machines. You must insert your players card each time and make sure “card accepted” displays each time.

Go to the Players Club desk for a casino comp update at least two days before you leave. You may have food comps or free slot play you’ll want to use on that trip. You’ll be amazed how quickly the casino comps build up at Circus Circus.

Most every casino in Las Vegas has their own comp program. The Players Club Card at Circus Circus earns credits for play action there. Circus Circus players card cannot be used for credits at other casinos. The credits may only be redeemed for casino comps and used at Circus Circus. Not to worry, they have an assortment of restaurants and options you may choose from.

Another fun Las Vegas casino benefit is that servers will bring you free cocktails or drinks while you play. More casino freebies to enjoy. Remember to tip.

A guide to free casino vacations.

Best Pizza Ever in Las Vegas

If you're looking for the best pizza ever in Las Vegas, the Pizzeria At Circus Circus, in the Main Casino, is delicious. The large pizza is enough for at least four people with a hardy appetite. It’s a fantastic bargain at $17.95 and good! We had the taco pizza. It was loaded with goodies and lots of cheese.

They also have a large selection of salads (House, Italian, Chef's and Antipasto) ranging in price from $4.95 up to $8.95. And, the usual Italian style sandwiches (Meatball, Italian, Sausage & Peppers and a Big Topper) ranging around $7.

They don't stop there. There are calzones, buffalo wings, and spaghetti too.

There was no skimping on toppings at the Pizzeria at Circus Circus Casino. I highly recommend it if you love pizza. They have different varieties to please any palate. Some of the varieties include Pesto, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Fajita, Garden, Tropical and all meat.

You don’t have to venture far from the slots to get there either. They are situated adjacent to the Main Casino at Circus Circus in Las Vegas. You can view part of the casino from your table.

The decor is rather plain with the booth style seating, but the food is fantastic. They are open from 11 am to 11 pm.

If you are in the mood for some sweets afterwards, walk across the aisle to Krispy Kreme for a yummy dessert.

If you’re too tired to dine out, the Pizzeria will deliver your food order to your room for an extra $2 as long as you are staying at the Circus Circus Hotel & Casino.

Generous Comps With the Circus Players Club Card in Las Vegas

We’re back from our week long vacation from sunny Las Vegas. The slots were kind to me. On one occasion I started with $13 and walked away $120 ahead. It was difficult to walk away from a winning machine but the stomach growls were beckoning me to eat.

Most of the slot machines in the casinos are now coinless. While they take bills, they do not take coins. There are still some coin machines around, but they are getting fewer and far between now. I prefer it personally. The coins are noisy, dirty and a pain to lug around.

Just remember to collect your winnings (credits) before you walk away from your machine. Keep your winnings (printed tickets) in one place so you don’t lose them or convert them to cash at the cashier’s cage at the end of the session.

Sign up for the Casino Players Card and earn your casino comps. You spent your money, now get something back. You deserve it. They want to give it to you. Don't miss out on any casino freebies. Most casinos offer their own Las Vegas players card.

The Players Club at the Circus Circus is a very generous casino comp program. It’s free, so sign up. At the end of day, as a new member, I received two free room nights for my next trip, cash back and food comps that amounted to three buffet meals for two. They offer a number of restaurants at the Circus Circus where you may dine free on your food comps. The buffet is only one of them. Accruing Las Vegas comps will help ease your budget.

The Circus Circus has three casinos. I played in all three, although enjoyed the Main Casino the most. You accrue credits on your casino Players Card in all of them. Make sure that your players card is inserted correctly. The card reader will show “card accepted”. If your players card is not inserted correctly, it is not registering your plays. In that case, you might consider moving to a machine that does accept your players card.

I recommend you check on your casino comps at least a couple days before you leave. I did not check on mine until the day I was leaving. Because of that, I left some casino comps on the table. But, I’ll have one year to return and get my Las Vegas coupons for the casino freebies.

I enjoy the penny and nickel machines. I feel that I get more slot play action with less money. But, I bring some extra fun money to drop in the Wheel of Fortune, Progressives, try for the cars, and take a shot at the Jackpots on the $1 and quarter machine fills. Someone will win. You can’t win, if you don’t play it.

While I did not come home a millionaire winner, it was a GREAT time ! I’m already looking forward to going back.

Get your casino freebies or other Las Vegas comps. Don't miss out on their free comp programs that reward you with gifts, entertainment, hotel stays, restaurant coupons, and more. You earned it. Now go forth and collect.
